How to re-purpose empty containers

If you are a bit of a beauty addict like me, you probably like having everything neatly organized. Now, my only problem is finding containers and different ways to put away and organize all of my treasures, mostly because I don't like hiding things in drawers or putting them in normal plastic containers.

Following that train of thought, here are some ideas on how to re-purpose empty containers and jars in order to keep your beauty stash stylishly organized.

Use an empty candle container to keep your skincare organized on your bathroom counter

Or an empty jam jar to hold your make up brushes

Pour your mouthwash in an old drink bottle to make it look fancier (and use it with a tiny tea cup)

Finally, another candle container to hold your most worn lipsticks

I hope this inspired some of you!

The perfect summer scent

With summer just around the corner, it was time for me to update my fragrances. I love rich and spicy scents for the winter, but in the warmer months I prefer sporting more light and fresh fragrances.

Another thing I also love is not breaking the bank when purchasing body products and perfume, and for that I can thank Bath and Bodyworks for their endless variety of heavenly smelling products. My favorite scent from them for this winter was Twilight Woods; it's a very sophisticated, soft and spicy smell, but stil perfect for day to day wear.

That being said, I wanted something more summer appropriate for the months to come, so I decided to pay a visit to my local Bath and Bodyworks to see what summery smells they had. After a very long deliberation with my mom, who also wanted something fresh smelling for the summer, I finally caved in and got a set of the Coconut Lime Breeze products. I bought the shower gel, the body cream, and the body spray.

This smells like a vacation by the beach. It is just perfect to make you feel fresh, pretty and on holiday. The shower gel contains shea and vitamin e, so it doesn't make my skin feel dry, and topping it off with the body cream makes it feel even better. The cream contains milk protein, rice bran oil and acai berry extract; this makes it very moisturizing, yet it sinks into the skin quickly, not leaving you feeling sticky and gross, which is always a plus. Finally, the body spray, being lighter than an actual perfume, leaves just enough of the good scent for the hot summer days to come.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it gave you some ideas to update your summer scent,
talk to you soon!

My everyday makeup look

Hello everyone! Today, I decided to share with you my everyday makeup routine. Being a university student means I have to get up very early in the morning (5:45 -_-), BUT that does not mean that I will go to school bare-faced; I still want to have a play with my makeup. Here are the products I use to go from a sleepy head to a somewhat put together design student:

Make Up For Ever HD primer, #0
Mac Prep + Prime Vibrancy Eye Primer
Benefit Erase Paste, #1 Fair
Make Up For Ever Face and Body Liquid Make Up, #20
Mac Mineralize loose foundation, Light
Mac Cork eyeshadow, for my eyebrows
Maybeline Great Lash mascara, transparent (to set my eyebrows)
Too Face Shadow Insurance eye primer
Nars eyeshadow duo, Kuala Lumpur
Pixi endless silky eye pencil, #2 BlackBlue
Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner, intense black or midnight
LancĂ´me Hypnose Drama mascara, black
Nars blush, Super Orgasm
Rimmel Color Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm, #100 Give me a cuddle

I know this seems like an insane amount of products to be handling this early in the morning, but it's really not too bad to be honest. Since I regularly have very long school days, I like to make sure my makeup will stay in place up until I take it off at night. This is why I use a lot of primers and powder, to set everything. Like I said, it seems like a lot, but once you've mastered it, it becomes very easy.

Hope this inspired some of you,
