Review: They're Real mascara by Benefit

Let's face it: I was not blessed with super long, doll-like eyelashes. Therefore, I'm always on the hunt for THE mascara. I had a lot of good ones in the past (Maybeline's Great Lash, Yves Rocher's Sexy Pulp, Rimmel's Scandaleyes Flex, Make Up For Ever's Aqua Smocky Lash and Sephora's Outrageous Volume are all very very good), but my most recent purchase really lives up to my lash fantasies.

I recently went to Sephora and treated myself to the Benefit Primping with the Stars kit. It comes in a little book-like box and includes many mini-sized products that I so far really like. The one I really want to talk about, though, is the They're Real mascara. As soon as I applied it, my eyes went "BOOM". This mascara gives you volume and length without any clumping, and it's so easy to apply. It has a plastic applicator with little spikes all around it, witch grab each lash and help define them as well as fan them out. The brush also has little spikes on the tip, so you can get to your inner and outer lashes very easily. I tried it on my bottom lashes as well and it works great: no clumps, no panda eyes, just perfectly defined lashes. It basically makes my eyes appear wider and more awake, and makes my lashes look fuller and longer, yet very natural.

If you want to try it out, but feel like the full size is a bit expensive, you can get it in a smaller size for cheaper, either on it's own, or in the kit for 38$.

I hope this helped you, see you soon!

Review: Sephora Ultimate Moisture Serum & Instant Moisturizer

For a start, let me tell you a bit more about my skin. My skin is very fussy with what I put on it and will react strongly if it's not happy with what I'm giving it. I have dehydrated skin ( there is not enough water in my skin, where as dry skin lacks in oil ) and it breaks out on my forehead , nose and chin. Because my skin is dehydrated, I need a very good moisturizer, BUT I can't use just any good moisturizer, because most of them are meant for dry skin, which means they provide the skin with the good oil it is not producing enough of. Using normal moisturizer was making my skin break out so badly because of the excess oil and I didn't understand why a moisturizer would do that. When I learned the difference between dry and dehydrated skin, I can tell you I stayed well away from any product that had "rich" or "intense" written on it.

Here is another thing I learned through my search for the best moisturizer ever: if you have dehydrated skin, look for gel based products. If you can't find those, at least go for the light formulas. I also realized that going for the sensitive skin options didn't do any good...

Before Christmas, I was shopping in Sephora with my mother and stumbled across two products I immediately fell in love with. They are both from the Sephora brand and they are called the Ultimate Moisture Serum and the Intant Moisturizer.

The serum is meant to be applied just before the moisturizer. It has lots of concentrated moisturizing ingredients, wich helps your skin to stay moisturized longer. It contains Java tea extracts and light reflecting pigments to leave your skin looking fresh and radiant. It also helps diminish the signs of aging and is paraben free.

The moisturizer is non-greasy and light. It has light reflecting pigments, to give your skin an instant boost of radiance, and loads of antioxidants to prevent aging. It is paraben and sulfate free, which is always a plus, and it also smells really nice and fresh.

I can honestly say that I have seen a major difference in my skin since using these two products, even though I've only been using them for about a week. I always seem to have really dry patches and dead skin on my face ( I know, pretty gross, right? ), but I haven't seen any since I started using this moisturizing duo. My face looks plump and fresh and glowy, and it's not itchy, flaky or dull looking like it used to be. I would say these products will work on any skin type, since they are so delicate, so give them a try if you are looking to change your moisturizer.

I hope this was helpful, see you all soon!
